Essential for beginners, it will also be nice back to basics for those that need to regroup and start anew. I have worked out every day for years, and I still find this one to have it's rewards. It's 25 minutes of an all over light workout. Warming up your body, stretching,concentrating on isolated movements for arms, hips, buttocks and abs,and using your own resistance to help you get back in shape and slim down while you are at it.Even your back and neck will feel the benefits. There's no jumping or aerobics, nothing too complicated,no weights, just basic moves that will help you look and feel good. The stretches will help you slim down, the isolated muscle movements, and flexes will help you on your way to getting toned, stronger,you'll improve balance, and maybe a bit more flexible with each session. You will also get a very nice ab work-out that is not too strenuous.
Jane Fonda is always an excellent instructor. She will guide you every step of the way. Always reminding you of proper posture, to listen to your body, breathe and go at your own pace. These are the basics, and this is helpful advice has not changed over 20 years. It's all important, to getting the most out of your workout without pushing yourself too hard, and without injury.
There are both men and women in the class. The music is classic and light, and sometimes ballet like.You don't need any special equipment, not even sneakers or shoes, but you may want to use a mat, for the floor exercises(abs and legs), or at least a folded towel or blanket to cushion yourself with.At the end of the tape Jane goes over some of her other video workouts.
Recommended for anyone needing to get back to basics, or anytime you need to de-stress(it's wonderful for this). Would also make a nice warm-up, or even a cool down for intermediate and advanced. Of course you should always watch a workout through before attempting, and check with your Doctor if there are any sort of physical limitations.If you see this available from a seller in grab it up, you never know when you may need it.
