In addition to the character developments, this season also includes some classic moments of poignancy or humor, including Albert's growing up (first with a penpal who conceals that she is in a wheelchair, then with his plan to marry troubled, illicitly pregnant Sylvia) and the doomed picture window that Laura breaks three times in demonstrations of anger at her new husband.
