Stripperella - Season One - Uncensored (2003) Review

I haven't had any problems at all with my two discs. They play just fine and look fine.
My only beef would be the change in the animation & writting after episode 4. It became way to 'cutesy' and less crass. No more exposed breasts get shown, no more truely funny innuendos. I felt like I was watching a saturday morning fluffy cartoon.
Now I understand why it got cancelled. Someone screwed with it and screwed it up.
It is worth buying for the orginial first 4 episodes tho.

STRIPPERELLA SEASON ONE - UNCENSORED features Pamela Anderson as the voice of Erotica Jones, a stripper-turned-superhero who fends off evil villains such as Dr. Cesarean, a plastic surgeon who gives unsuspecting women explosive breast implants; Cheapo, a frugal villain who makes his henchmen share a gun and Pushy Galore, a former genetic physicist who breeds animals with designer logos on their skin. With the ability to land safely after jumping from tall buildings, courtesy of her enhanced hair, and her patented move called "Scissor-ella" in which she crushes the villains with her thighs, along with the lie detector implanted in her generously-sized chest, Stripperella proves to be one tough superhero unwilling to give up.

Season 8 will finally arrive in all its glory on March 18th I believe. I still can't understand why this show has taken so long to be put out on dvd. It is my husband's ABSOLUTELY FAVORITE SHOW!! And, I am very excited too as his vhs tapes are simply worn out. Here are the episodes from Season 8 as stated on IMDB:

2: Hood in the Boyz
3: Proud to Be Your Bud?
The other Bundys think Bud has flipped out when they overhear his basement conversion with his 'cool' alter-ego who arrives from another universe and shows Bud the tactics on picking up women. Meanwhile, Al has a personal battle of his own with a voice-over phone service to order a purchase for a new spare part for the Dodge.
4: Luck of the Bundys
5: Banking on Marcy
6: No Chicken, No Check
7: Take My Wife, Please
8: Scared Single
9: No Ma'am

They form a secret organization called No MA'AM and hold him hostage in his own show in an audience filled with men donning the No MA'AM shirts. They intend to perform television's first sexorcism which includes them forcing him in watching hours of pro-wrestling. They'll also force him to wear a stinky, yellow undershirt and a pair of boxers with the words "It's All Me" until the women who took over their Giggly Room and their bowling night comply to their demands.
10: Dances with Weezy
11: Change for a Buck
12: A Little Off the Top
Al is injured playing baseball with his friends, and ends up in the hospital needing surgery. Due to a mix-up at the hospital, however, Al ends up receiving a circumcision.
13: The Worst Noel
14: Sofa So Good
15: Honey, I Blew Up Myself
16: How Green Was My Apple
17: Valentine's Day Massacre
Al battles other husbands at a store for last-minute Valentine's Day shoppers. Meanwhile, Bud gets physically and sexually abused when trying to find in a hotel his long-lost valentine girl, who is now a famous pop star.
18: Get Outta Dodge
When Al decides to sell his old car, the people at the Dodge Corporation inform him that if he can get his Dodge's odometer up to all 9's, the car will take part in a commercial, breaking the 1.000.000.000 miles and Al will be awarded a brand Dodge Viper. But can Al and his Dodge survive 24 hours until the film crew can arrive?
19: Field of Screams
20: The D'Arcy Files
21: Nooner or Later
22: Ride Scare
23: The Legend of Ironhead Haynes
24: Assault and Batteries
Al rushes to finish fixing the basement step before his favorite movie, "Hondo" comes on TV. But, in an attempt to get some new batteries for his flashlight, he finds himself locked inside the store. Meanwhile, Bud and Kelly attempt to celebrate Buck's birthday, much to Buck's dismay.
25: Al Goes Deep
26: Kelly Knows Something
What a great list of episodes...Season 8 was very funny and proved once again that The Bundy's were the craziest, coolest, & hippest family around!! Enjoy!

The three-disc set features all 26 episodes of the classic 1980s sitcom parody, starring the less than loveable and most unforgettable Bundys - Ed O’Neill (TV’s John from Cincinnati), Katey Sagal (TV’s 8 Simple Rules), Christina Applegate (TV’s Samantha Who?), David Faustino (National Lampoon’s Pucked), Amanda Bearse (Give or Take an Inch), and Ted McGinley (TV’s Hope & Faith), along with guest stars Danny Bonaduce (TV’s The Partridge Family), Gary Coleman (TV’s Diff’rent Strokes) and Dom DeLuise (Blazing Saddles). Highlights of this season include Peggy switching seats with Al at a basketball game and ending up being chosen for the $10,000 free throw contest, while Kelly and Bud buy a car to share and then are forced to double date.Everyone thinks Bud has flipped out when they overhear him speaking with his "cool" alter-ego, and in a hospital mix-up, Al is accidentally circumcised after he’s injured playing baseball. Finally, Al could get a brand new car as his old Dodge nears 999,999 miles, but it remains to be seen if he can hold out.

For better or worse, MTV funded a bumbling case of idiots to play with poo and dress in a variety of men's undergarments. Never before has arrested development looked so much fun as the cast of Jackass make it. From stapling Jackass on their rear-end to mounting magazine stands in gorilla costumes, Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, and the rest of the gang show us what it takes be a Jackass!

MTV Jackass, Vol. 3 (2001) Review

MTV Jackass, Vol. 3 (2001)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Yes kiddies, if Volume 2 wasn't enough for you, "Jackass: Volume 3" is here to give you more laughs, more cringes, more sickness, and more pain. Some people think the show is utterly stupid and pointless. Yeah.... and the problem is? That's why it's so funny.
This isn't for people with weak stomachs. A lot of the things you're going to see on this DVD are going to make you sick and cringe a lot... but you'll be laughing like hell if you're a sick and twisted S.O.B. like me!
When you purchase Volume 3, expect to see this: Bounty hunter, beard of leeches, full pipe skating, bottle skating, hot dog skate boarding, security guard, nutball, spermathon, fat ---- #2, and much, much more. Once again, nakedness is blurred (not really a bad thing if you ask me) and cuss words are bleeped. Still I do not know why they feel that the actually swearing has to be bleeped out and yet swears in the background music can still be left in. Oh well.
And again, no spectacular special features included, but it's the 77 minutes of hilarity and madness of the actual show that counts. The few features included are things like a trivia game, photo gallery, and cast bios.
So if you think you can take another dose of Jackass, then by all means pick up "Jackass: Volume 3." While it may not be as good as Volume 2, it is still a very worthy purchase. Be prepared to laugh, cringe, and be disgusted. All that fun stuff, right? I thought you'd agree with me.
Kids, don't try this at home. Until you are an actual member of the official show, just stick to watching so I don't have to hear parents and the news complain about how terrible of a show it is. All right? Think you can do that? Great. Thank you.

Due to some random haggard circumstances, Volume 1 of the Jackass TV series isn't coming out anytime soon. But in the meantime here's Volume 3. Volume three of the Jackass series contains a random, haggard selection of segments and bits that aired on our crappy little television show. Memorable moments in this half-ass collection include the recitation of the Gettysburg Address by Johnny Knoxville while a beard of leeches is applied to his ruggedly handsome face, Chris Pontius stripping down for the pleasure of five other dudes, Wee Man and Preston Lacy pulling a "poo switcheroo" with a porta-potty, Dave England digging through the trash and unearthing a tasty treat in a diaper, and a bunch of other absurd stunts, pranks and queer misbehavior from our bumbling cat and crew of idiots.

The Shield: Season Seven - The Final Act Review

The Shield: Season Seven - The Final Act
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
One thing about "The Shield" is how well the show holds up on multiple viewings. It's probably because of the attention to detail and the numerous story arcs going on in any single episode. This continues to be the case in the 7th and final season of the show.
Season 7 finds Det. Vic Mackey, at the end of the line. Season 6 finished with Vic walking out on his last chance to keep his job with the LAPD and making a deal with former police Captain, now wannabe-Mayor Aciveda to take down the crooked developer who has been bankrolling Aciveda's political career. Meanwhile, Vic's strike team is beginning to come apart at the seams, all of their former bad deeds are bubbling to the surface, and on top of that Vic's ex-wife and daughter are terrified of him. Vic's a dirty cop with a perverted sense of justice. He thinks that if he can nail this crooked developer AND take down the Armenian mob, it will make up for all the horrible things he has done.
The season plays out almost as a tragedy, and is the strongest season of the Shield since the powerful season 3. Watching these episodes again, I'm most struck by the relationship between Dutch and Capt. Wymms. Both actors do terrific work as seemingly the only people in the precinct who seem to care about Mackey's abuses, and the quest to bring him down strains them to the breaking point.
The rest of the cast is solid as always. David Rees Snell, who plays Ronnie Gardocki on the strike team, shows a whole lot more here than he has in the past. But the real standouts are Michael Chiklis as Mackey, and Walt Goggins as his longtime best friend/failed protege Shane Vendrell. Goggins is outstanding in the final episodes. He's done horrible things and he can barely live with himself, yet he continues on to try and help his wife and children.
The show ends in about the only logical place it could end. The last three episodes in particular are shattering. The writing, acting, and direction are all fantastic, and "The Shield" goes out on a highly satisfying and emotional peak. A must own.

The final season of this gritty, hard-hitting, award-winning cop drama comes to DVD! This season, Vic's relationship with Shane is put to the test as they work against each other to bring down the Armenian mob. Dutch plays hardball to get a homicide witness to come forward. The Strike Team tries to rescue a drug kingpin's daughter, and Vic is pressured to take down Pezuela, leading him to seek an immunity deal for him and Ronnie in exchange for them helping ICE take down Beltran.

Knockouts: The Ladies of TNA Wrestling, Vol.1 (2006) Review

Knockouts: The Ladies of TNA Wrestling, Vol.1 (2006)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This was basically TNA's attempt at doing a DVD similar to the WWE Divas DVD's that they put out every year. The only difference here is that these TNA knockouts aren't out on television every other week in wet t-shirts, bra & panties, or skimpy outfits so you don't get the mentality of "why buy the DVD when I can see this for free on TV every week."
Christy Hemme, Jackie (Ms. Jackie in WWE), Traci Brooks, Gail Kim, and the ring girl So Cal Val are all profiled on here with footage from their photoshoots from the TNA website & Sole magazine. They tell their backgrounds of growing up, getting into the business, and their time & roles in TNA and a sideshow after each presentation.
Also on here is a match between Gail Kim vs. Traci Brooks that was a nice little womens wrestling match...not a bra & panties type of match you would see divas like Torrie Wilson & Candice Michelle but actual wrestling like Trish, Victoria, or Mickie James would give you. And there are also little features like Traci going to a baseball game looking for a guy. The DVD itself is around around an hour & a half.
Bottom line is just these type of Diva/Knockout DVD's are only worth watching maybe once or twice and then it loses it's value. This is good for a rental but it's a pass for anything else.

I've just purchased CSI NY season 5, and I am thrilled. Each season's episodes of the show get better & better. The quality of the scripts and the great actors are what make a dvd set for me. Like most people, I really don't care whether there are Bonus Features or Special features. Sure, they're nice to have, but I don't buy a dvd for that! I love this show more & more each year & I guess most tv viewers agree with me, because this show is in the top 20 in ratings every week!!! Keep them coming!!!

C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation, The Tenth Season Review

C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation, The Tenth Season
Average Reviews:

Wow! From the first moment of that spectacular bullet time opening sequence that started season 10, to the last moment when Langston lay bleeding to death during the finale, this season has been the best in years.
The first full season without William Petersen and Gary Dourdan, and Jorja Fox is back!, Sara Sidle is a pivotal part of CSI, even more of a part than Raymond Langston (Laurence Fishburne), and with Jorja, comes old CSI, More screen time for Helgenberger and Eads!
Liz Vassey and David Berman became regular cast members this season (unfortunately Vassey has been booted since then, but i'll moan about that in my season 11 review), this DVD contains another season long serial killer arc, Yay!, we all love them, whether it be Paul Millander (although that was one or two episodes a season for 3 or 4 seasons), The Miniature Killer or the Blue Paint Killer, we all love the twists and turns!, one twist in particular i enjoyed was when Langston was stabbed by NATE HASKELL, yes! the dick & jane killer from Grissom's last episodes. He Is Back!
CSI reaches new heights in this season, and Fishburne has had (although still a lot) less screentime this year, Helgenberger really does become leader of her team.
The Notable Cast Consists of:
Liz Vassey...................Wendy Simms
Marg Helgenberger......Catherine Willows
Laurence Fishburne..........Ray Langston
George Eads..................Nick Stokes
Jorja Fox.....................Sara Sidle
Robert David Hall.............Al Robbins
Wallace Langham.............David Hodges
David Berman..............David Phillips
Paul Guilfoyle.................Jim Brass
Bill Irwin..................Nate Haskell
Marc Vann..................Conrad Ecklie
Archie Kao................Archie Johnson
Eric Szmanda................Greg Sanders

C.S.I. New York - The Complete Third Season (2004) Review

C.S.I. New York - The Complete Third Season (2004)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
CSI NY is the more somber of the hit trilogy, and in its third season is even a little darker. There are lots of bizarre crimes and murder weapons, e.g., an angel falls from the sky; a man is impaled on a condom machine, maybe by John McEnroe (!); a victim pronounced dead pulls a Lazarus. And the cast has their own personal crises: Mac (Gary Sinise) meets the son of is late wife, gets in trouble with the commissioner when a suspect throws himself off a roof, and has problems with his new love (the lovely Claire Forlani). Stella (the great Melina Karakedes) faces possible infection from a victim with HIV; Danny is kidnapped by brutal drugrunners (well played by Carmine Giovanassi); Hawkes (Hill Harper) is framed for murder by a vindictive Edward Furlong; and Lindsay (Anna Belknap) testifies against the madman who killed four of her friends ten years previously.
I enjoy the CSI shows; it's fun to watch how the team pulls their evidence together; as in all the shows, Gary Sinise is the glue that holds the series together. He's superb. My only complaint: the awful music they use is more of a distraction than an enhancement. Where do they come up with these awful songs and singers?
