Melrose Place: Season Five, Vol. 2 Review

Ok so even though it can't top seasons two, three, and four, season five is definitely a great season. It could almost be intertwined with season four as far as the overall glossiness of it. Things really changed in this season. Daphne Zuniga was out (Jo left at in the season four finale and is mentioned once in the season five premiere) and she would not be the only one to go. By the end of season five, Courtney Thorne-Smith (Alison), Grant Show (Jake), Josie Bissett (Jane), Laura Leighton (Sydney), and Marcia Cross (Kimberly) were all gone. There were some great additions - Rob Estes and Lisa Rinna (Kyle and Taylor), Kelly Rutherford (Megan), Alyssa Milano (Jennifer), Brooke Langton (Samantha), and David Charvet (Craig) - but the lack of beloved characters is, in my opinion, what led to lackluster seasons six and seven.
I do like the way some of the departing characters are written out. Kimberly, finally overcoming all of her mental problems, struggles with getting her life back to normal but succumbs to cancer and dies of a brain tumor (she really is dead this time). Bad luck befalls Sydney on her wedding day, who is tragically killed after finally finding a man who will love her for who she really is. Jake runs off to be with his son and his ex. Alison leaves for Atlanta to start fresh, and Jane also decides it's time to say bon voyage (which is good because I think the insanity Kimberly finally got rid of leaked over into Jane's storyline).
Season Five is the last really great season. I enjoyed Season Six and some parts of Season Seven, but not very much.

A nighttime soap opera about the lives, careers, trials and tribulations of a group of young people living in an apartment building in the trendy neighborhood of Melrose Place. The show was a spin off of Beverly Hills 90210 and starred Heather Locklear as the scheming Amanda Woodward, head of her own advertising agency and owner of the apartment building.

Another Woman's Husband (2000) Review

Lisa Rinna and Gail O'Grady become best friends..not realizing that they share the same man! Both women perform very well in this movie...I have been a big fan of both of them since Melrose Place and NYPD Blue. Sally Kirkland also does a great job in this movie as Gail O'Grady's mother. This movie is filled with so many different ingredients: intrigue, lessons on overcoming fears, and it helps one become stronger in believing inside what can truly make your life happy. I've seen it a few times, and enjoy it more each time.

After a rocky start this is now my favorite cardio video and I have tried too many to count. Please don't feel discouraged by the jive in the first segment. That is by far the trickiest to get down but not impossible. The choreography is AMAZING. The steps SEEM simple but they make you feel like a professional dancer. I love that they are challenging but that the steps repeat in a pattern so a regular person can follow along. I did the video twice before adding my own music with the video on mute. This makes the video SO great and different than others - the steps stay the same but the music can change as often as you like. This difference is key. I can't dance to music that is boring so being able to have simple steps that repeat is really a revelation to me. I also appreciate that there are not too many traveling steps...for those of us that live in small apartments. Lisa won me over with her personality that is so warm and friendly. There is a great group of pro dancers who put there own spin on the steps. I did this video with my teenage niece and she loved it too (we both were chanting "single, single, double on the same side" Thanks for making these great workouts. I am a convert and can't wait until more come out!!!
